What we do Following the success of my recent work for LSN, I thought I'd post a few helpful details and resources here to help you. Hopefully, this page will guide you towards further, more meaningful answers to your enquiry.

This is very much a work in progress and will be added to as time goes by. If possible, when the time comes, I will link to whatever online repository hosts the LSN work we've done.

These pages are not designed to be authoritative, but will hopefully shorten the time it takes you to find useful, worthwhile resources. The links will, where possible, be followed by a brief description of the site and down the right hand side, will be a list of hyperlinks to sundry sites (often different pages of the same site) with more information, either about the site itself or subject specific. Where necessary, these links will also be expanded upon as time allows.
We accept no responsibility for information found on those pages and cannot advocate one information source over another - see

Sex  back
There's no escaping it - sex is a bigger part of adult (and young adult) life than many care to admit. This often leads to a lack of openness and honesty about the subject which in turn can often prevent teens and young adults learning as much as they should about the dangers of sex. They will learn about the pleasures of sex in good time (Tips here courtesy of the BBC). This resource will hopefully help you to guide them towards sites with information that is honest and palatable.

Reproduction

The female reproductive system   Words      interactive diagram In the human reproductive process, two kinds of sex cells, or gametes (pronounced: gah-meetz), are involved. The male gamete, or sperm, and the female gamete, the egg or ovum, meet in the female's reproductive system to create a new individual. Both the male and female reproductive systems are essential for reproduction. The female needs a male to fertilize her egg, even though it is she who carries offspring through pregnancy and childbirth.
