Village e-Learning Consultancy is an approved EPICT Assessment Centre with certified EPICT facilitators.  Our company can offer you and your staff the opportunity to gain EPICT qualification using flexible study options within your own setting and utilising resources related to your individual teaching areas as part of module evidence.

To gain the full EPICT qualifications each candidate is expected to complete eight modules of study of which four are compulsory.  The four remaining modules are elective chosen from an extensive list.

Compulsory Modules
  • Locating and incorporating Online Resources
  • Using and Creating Interactive Learning Materials
  • Electronic Communications and Collaboration
  • ICT and Strategic Innovation

There are currently twelve modules from which to choose the elective elements of the award.

With the emphasis on pedagogy, EPICT cuts to the heart of teaching and learning using electronic technologies. The compulsory modules address important aspects of e-learning whereas the optional modules allow the user to personalise their learning in areas such as games, special needs, interactive whiteboards and VLEs.

We recommend that candidates attend an introductory session which precedes any work on the qualification.  This session would include an introduction to the qualification and an overview of the compulsory models.

Assessment of the EPICT qualification is undertaken by submission of a portfolio of evidence.  Individual modules are submitted to the Assessment Centre by each candidate.  This can be done online, or by postal submission of a digital 'memory stick' portfolio.  Each module receive both formative and summative feedback when complete.

Each candidate has to submit eight modules for assessment before the portfolio can be passed.

We realise that staff within an organisation will have different degrees of ICT knowledge, understanding and competence in the use and creation of  e-pedagogies.  Village e-Learning Consultancy can offer a range of bespoke staff development workshops that will enhance appropriate skills and complement the EPICT modules.
